"Anna Ruth Otilia Carlson, who has for more than six years been a constant sufferer, died at the family home here Friday night about 10:30 o'clock, aged 7 years, 1 month and 24 days old. When she was six months old she became ill and has since been a patient little sufferer. Of late she was improving and her parents had high hopes for her recovery, but her frail body would not rally and she passed into the great beyond as peacefully as when a child sleeps. She simply closed her eyes and died passing beyond the sorrows and tribulations of this world. The funeral was held Sunday from the house at 2 o'clock, and then from the M.E. church, Rev. E.S. Benjamin preaching in English and John Linn in Swedish. Interment was made in the Oakwood cemetery."
